Helene forecast to become major hurricane

The Weather Channel said Tropical Storm Helene, which is currently spinning between Mexico and Cuba, is likely to become a large and powerful hurricane before it strikes Florida’s Gulf Coast on Thursday night. Helene may become a hurricane on Wednesday and intensify due to the warm ocean waters. It could be a Category 3 hurricane with wind speeds of at least 111 mph before it makes landfall on Thursday. So those of you on the Gulf Coast should be on alert and make emergency preparations.

Son of would-be Trump assassin arrested

Oran Routh, the son of Ryan Routh — who allegedly tried to shoot and kill former President Donald Trump at his golf course — was arrested on charges of possessing images of child sexual abuse. Federal authorities said they were working on a case unrelated to sexual abuse and happened to find hundreds of child sexual abuse files in Oran’s electronic devices at his home in North Carolina. Oran’s father, Ryan, is in custody on two gun-related charges in connection with the alleged assassination attempt. NBC News said federal authorities did not make it clear whether they found Oran’s files while they were investigating Ryan’s case. But I would imagine that’s exactly what happened — that law enforcement was trying to find evidence on what motives Ryan might have had for allegedly wanting to kill Trump and when they checked Oran’s devices, they found the child sex abuse images.

Rodeo bulls escape in Massachusetts

On Sunday afternoon, eight bulls that were part of a rodeo taking place in Massachusetts escaped from their pen and jumped over a fence. A video shows bulls running on a parking lot as onlookers jumped on their vehicles for safety. Firefighters and police officers in the Attleboro area worked for one day and a half to find and capture all the bulls with the help of rodeo workers. A local resident said they were very shocked when they saw bulls near their home. Fortunately, nobody was injured. I can’t imagine what I’d do if I was walking my dog outside and suddenly saw a bull on a street.
