Rudy Giuliani ordered to turn over apartment to election workers

CBS News said a federal judge ordered Rudy Giuliani, former attorney to Donald Trump, to turn over his New York apartment worth millions of dollars and other valuables to two election workers from Georgia that he defamed, Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss.

Giuliani, like Trump, spread conspiracy theories that the 2020 election was stolen. Giuliani spread false rumors that the two Georgia election workers were stuffing fake ballots and exchanging a USB drive to manipulate votes.

It was not true. Ten months ago, a jury awarded the election workers almost $150 million dollars in a defamation lawsuit. Now this federal judge has ordered Giuliani to give up his apartment to them. Giuliani has been disbarred in New York and Washington, D.C.

Elon Musk’s $1M payouts raise controversy

On Saturday, Elon Musk announced he would give away $1 million each day to people who sign his political organization’s petition in support of the First and Second Amendment (freedom of speech and the right to bear arms).

Musk, who has endorsed Donald Trump for the presidency, was clearly trying to motivate people to register to vote in important battleground states because the petition was open only to registered voters from Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, and North Carolina.

Pennsylvania Gov. Shapiro (D) said the promotion is deeply concerning and that law enforcement should take a look at it. He said when you start flowing this kind of money into politics, it raises serious questions.

An election law expert told NBC News that there is a federal rule prohibiting anyone from paying or offering to pay or accepts payment either for registration to vote or for voting.

Musk said there’s nothing illegal about what he’s doing because people don’t have to register as Republicans or vote, they just have to be a registered voter and sign the petition.

There are many who are urging the Department of Justice to investigate, but the DOJ hasn’t say whether it’s going to take action.
