Highway sign for CSD Fremont to be built

A report from “The Mercury News” in Bay Area, California said that Gov. Gavin Newsom recently signed a bill that would create highway signs for the California School for the Deaf, Fremont. The article explained that last fall, a group of CSDF students, working with social studies teacher Molly Christensen, made a legislative proposal for this concept. A state representative, Alex Lee, drafted a bill and now it’s official. CSD Fremont is located near highways 680, 238, and 880. Although the group of students who worked on this bill have already graduated, Christensen said it would be powerful for them to see that freeway sign one day on a trip home from college and know that families with young deaf kids will see the CSDF as a resource for their child.
