Update on Deaf News Interview on 11/13/19

Hello, I want to let you know that I’ve taken down lat night’s Daily Moth Deaf News interview with a hard-of-hearing man from Florida, Mohammad Ideis. He told me that he and his wife had an incident at a fair on Sunday when a man wearing a TRUMP 2020 hat roughly bumped into his wife causing her to fall as she held their 1 year old baby son. He said his wife sustained a shoulder injury that turned out to be a serious bruise. He showed me an image of a person’s bruised shoulder (the face was not visible). It was a dark bruise. He said it was his wife’s. I showed it on Daily Moth last night. Since then, several people made postings and sent me messages saying the photo was not of his wife because there was an exact same image on Google Images. I checked on this and sure enough, there was a photo that looked exactly the same. I reached out to Mohammad and he apologized and said he lied to me about the photo. He said it was not of his wife and that he pulled it from somewhere else. He said he did this because his wife did get injured but that her body couldn’t be shown because of religious reasons. The point is that he apologized and said he lied about the photo. So, I’ve taken down the interview story from Moth Facebook, YouTube, and website. I don’t want to cause any more confusion. The story is now vague, as it is not clear which parts are fact or not. So I’m taking the videos down. I want to apologize to the community for posting a photo that is not actually from them. That is on me to verify those things. Now you know what is going on. Those interview videos have been taken down.
