Snowplow driver finds 2 dead bodies

This recent Monday, a snowplow driver was plowing snow on a remote highway about 10 miles north of a small city named Bridgeport in California. Bridgeport is about an hour and a half away from the south part of Lake Tahoe.

When the snowplow driver was plowing snow, he found two dead bodies on the side of the highway. Yesterday the Mono County’s Sheriff’s Office (MSCO) identified the two victims as husband and wife, William Larsen (35) and Yesenia Larsen (30) from Burbank, California. The sheriff’s office confirmed yesterday that it was evident that it was a targeted murder.

The sheriff’s office said that they are a small department so they are pooling for resources to investigate this situation

Shooting at nightclub in North Carolina

Last night, at least 6 people including 2 police officers were shot at a nightclub in Gastonia, North Carolina.

Authorities said that two police officers were working at the Remedies Nightclub. They were trying to help settle down an argument between two people, but the shooting happened. So, 6 people including that two police officers were injured, but it is reported that they all will be okay. No one died.

The two suspects Alonzo Hamilton and Allen Slaughter have been arrested and charged with six felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. That’s all the information we know now as this situation is under investigation.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade plan

Macy’s Thanksgiving parade is famous for its extravagant balloons of different things floating in the air with a cheering crowd. The parade has been going on since 1924. This year will be different because of COVID. The parade will go on, but there will be no audience. The parade will only be seen only on nationwide television on Thursday, November 26 from 9am to 12pm in all time zones.

Macy’s parade still will have a list of theatrical and musical performances. Those performances include famous stars such as Dolly Parton, Jordin Sparks, and the Muppets of Sesame Street.

Sports news briefs

Here are two quick sports news briefs.

Last night, the USA men’s soccer team played against Wales for a friendly match. The USA team wore their warm up jackets that had social justice messages written on the back. The messages were like “Black Lives Matter,” “Peace,” “Stop Racism,” “United as One,” etc. On the front of their jackets, all of the players had “Be The Change” USA men’s soccer coach, Gregg Berhalter, said he was proud of them. USA and Wales finished to a 0-0 draw.

A woman, Kim Ng, was recently hired as the new general manager for the Miami Marlins Major League Baseball (MLB) team. This makes her the first female GM in MLB’s history. Ng has been involved with MLB since the 1990’s. Jon Morosi, an American sportswriter and reporter for the MLB, mentioned that Ng has one of the greatest resumes of any first-time GM in MLB history.
