CSD Riverside wins third straight CIF championship

On Friday night, the California School for the Deaf, Riverside won their third consecutive CIF Southern Section State Championship in 8-man football.

The Cubs defeated Flintridge Preparatory Scholarship. Both teams were undefeated going into the game and CSDR came from behind to win in the end, 44-42.

CSDR head coach Keith Adams told ABC 7 News that they made history with three-peat and that the kids really wanted it, that their heart was just in it.

CSDR said on its social media pages that it was Adams’ final game and he would be stepping down.

The Cubs reached the CIF SS Championship game for four straight seasons — they lost the first time around but won three straight.

Congratulations once again to the Cubs.
