Trump campaign staff had altercation at Arlington Cemetery
NPR said when Donald Trump and his campaign staff visited the Arlington National Cemetery near D.C. on Monday, there was an altercation between a cemetery official and campaign staff over taking photos and film. Trump was at the cemetery to meet with some Gold Star family members — the families of U.S. soldiers who died during the chaotic pullout from Afghanistan three years ago. A cemetery official told the Trump team that only its staff members can take photos or film in an area called Section 60, which is where recent U.S. casualties are buried. Trump’s campaign staff ignored this and insulted and pushed a cemetery official aside. The Trump campaign said this never happened and they have video to prove it, but they didn’t release it. An Army spokesperson said in a statement that one of its employees at the cemetery was indeed pushed aside but the employee decided not to press charges.

Similar dinosaur footprints on opposite sides of Atlantic
The New York Times said researchers found more than 260 dinosaur footprints in South America and Africa that are so similar that it suggests the two continents were once a narrow corridor with dinosaurs roaming on it before they split.
The footprints are in modern-day Brazil and Cameroon.
Researchers believe the footprints were made 120 million years ago when Africa and South America were still connected as a part of a supercontinent called Gondwana.
If you look at a world map as some kind of jigsaw puzzle, you could see where the eastern end of Brazil would fit with Cameroon’s western end.

Paralympics begins in Paris
The Paralympics had its opening ceremony in Paris on Wednesday.
Over 4,000 athletes with physical, visual and intellectual disabilities will compete in 22 sports beginning today. The games will end September 8. The athletes are grouped according to their specific disabilities and levels to try to make competition as fair as possible.
Many parts of the opening ceremonies seemed similar to the Paris Olympics, which took place a few weeks ago.
Generally, deaf or hard of hearing athletes do not compete in the Paralympics in a designated category for hearing disabilities because they have the Deaflympics.
