Deal nearing to release hostages
Axios said Israel and Hamas are close to reaching a deal that would free 50 Israeli women and children who are being held as hostages in Gaza in exchange for around 150 Palestinian prisoners during a four-day ceasefire. If the deal does happen, it will be the biggest diplomatic breakthrough in the current war. There could be a second part of the deal that would release 50 more hostages in exchange for more Palestinian prisoners. Israel would also allow around 300 aid trucks per day to enter Gaza from Egypt. Many in Israel are pressuring their government to do more to bring the hostages home.

Now CNN is reporting that more than 500 employees of OpenAI signed a letter threatening to quit and join Microsoft unless the board resigns and reinstates Altman. All of this will have an impact on the future of AI because Microsoft is the company investing the most money in AI with $13 billion.

Woman who died of cancer helped strangers with medical debt
There is a touching story of a 38-year-old woman named Casey McIntyre and how she helped many strangers with their medical debt. Casey had ovarian cancer and passed away on November 12. Before her death, she encouraged her friends and others to donate to a crowdfunding campaign to help pay off the medical debt of others. Casey said she was lucky to have good medical care and she's aware that many others don't have that kind of access. USAToday said the campaign raised enough to pay off about $50 million in debt. Casey's husband said what resonated for them is the thought of helping people to get good cancer treatment now instead of only dreaming about a cure for cancer. Casey leaves behind an 18-month-old daughter.
