Biden adm. to ask Israel for pause in fighting

The Biden administration said it would urge the Israeli government to agree to several pauses in their military action in Gaza to allow the safe release of hostages and for humanitarian aid to flow.

Israel said Hamas is holding about 240 hostages.

President Biden said yesterday that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu previously agreed to briefly stop shelling on October 20 to allow two American hostages to be released.

The pauses in fighting would allow trucks with aid to move to neighborhoods without the risk of being hit by airstrikes.

Al Jazeera reported that about half of Gaza’s hospitals are out of service.

The Israeli military said this afternoon that it is continuing to advance into the Gaza City area and is conducting face-to-face battles with Hamas fighters.

Trump’s sons testify in New York fraud trial

Donald Trump’s two adult sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, have testified in his New York fraud trial.

CBS News said both Trump sons took the reins of the Trump Organization in 2017 when their father entered the White House.

Trump Jr. testified that he didn’t engage in fraud and said if there was any inaccurate information, it is his company’s accounting department and an outside firm’s fault. Eric said he didn’t have anything to do with his father’s statements of financial conditions.

Donald (the father) will testify on Monday. Ivanka Trump will testify two days after his father’s testimony.

The judge in the case has already found the Trump Organization liable for fraud. The trial is to determine whether the company has to pay up to $250 million in penalties and lose their privileges to do business in New York.
