Durham criticizes FBI’s Trump-Russia probe

Special Counsel John Durham has completed his investigation into the origins of the FBI’s 2016 investigation into potential collusion between Donald Trump and Russia. Durham started his investigation in 2019 during the Trump administration and he just released a 300-page report.

Durham said the FBI acted too quickly to open the investigation and that the FBI relied on raw and unconfirmed intelligence at the beginning. The FBI did not have any information about actual contact between Trump’s team and Russian government officials at the beginning.

Durham said the FBI failed to question whether they were manipulated for political or other purposes.

Durham may testify before Congress next week and may provide more information. Trump has called the 2016 investigation “the crime of the century.”

Kyiv attacked by barrage of missiles

Ukrainian officials said Russia launched 18 missiles toward Kyiv today and that its air defenses shot all of them down. There were no injuries.

Ukraine said the attack was “exceptional” because it was the largest number of missiles coming in the shortest period of time they’ve seen.

AP said it was an apparent attempt by Russia to overwhelm Ukraine’s air defenses, but the Western-supplied weapons helped Ukraine to fend off the assault.

It is the eighth time this month that Russia attacked Kyiv.

Those in Kyiv said they felt fear and that there were bangs and shaking walls.

She said Giuliani promised to pay her $1 million a year and provide free legal representation in her other legal issues. She was fired in 2021 and did not get her salary. FDA guidance OK’s dogs at restaurants

The FDA said in a new guidance that it is OK for dogs to be present in restaurants’ outdoor dining areas, as long as state and local laws are okay with it and if the restaurant allows it.

The FDA said its health rules allow pet dogs in outdoor dining areas, where approved. But dogs aren’t allowed indoors or anywhere food is prepared, with the only exception being service dogs.

The FDA said cats and other pets shouldn’t be allowed at restaurants unless they are service animals.

About 23 states currently allow dogs in outdoor areas of restaurants.

A law expert explained that FDA’s new guidance shows that there is no concern about overall food sanitation and safety if there are pet dogs in an outdoor area, but the final decision belongs to the restaurant.
