Man charged with murdering Justie Stilwell
Here is an update on the suspect who is accused of brutally murdering Justie Stilwell, a 41-year-old hard-of-hearing man in Bay City, Michigan.
I shared this story last week. The suspect is a 40-year-old man named Robert D. Tweedly Jr. He faced a judge on Friday, where he was informed that he is charged with one count of open murder and one count of mutilation of a dead body.
His defense attorney entered a plea of not guilty. He is being held on a $1 million bond. Prosecutors said he admitted to the murder.
Police in Bay City said Stilwell and Tweedly knew each other but did not give more details. Police said they believe they know where the murder happened but did not provide details. They also did not provide a possible motive.
Tweedley is due back in court in the next two weeks.
