Renca: Arlene ‘LeLe’ Ngalle-Paryani (35) is a Deaf content creator and her Deaf son, Dairen (16), is aiming to become an actor and model - both of them were part of a Ford commercial about Ford’s electric car with the new BlueCruise Hands-Free technology feature. We will show a short clip of it.

Description: Arlene is driving a Ford vehicle. She takes her hands off the wheel because the “Hands-Free” is activated. They both talk in ASL as the car drives itself. ]

We included the link to the full commercial in the transcript. Hudson decided to have both of them on her show for an interview about the commercial. Arlene and Darien shared how important it was to have Deaf representation in a commercial and how the car’s hands-free feature was beneficial to them because of communication. The both of them also explained to Hudson how this was a rare kind of opportunity for them to act as a mother and son together when they are actually mother and son in real life too.

After the interview, Hudson mentioned a few comments and then proceeded to say that Ford wants to give them a brand new 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E SUV car with the BlueCruise Hands-Free feature. You could see how shocked Arlene and Darien were.

“We are so thrilled that JHUD wanted to interview us! Starstruck for me because I have been following JHUD since she won American Idol in 2004! We didn’t expect the surprise at all! We didn't expect anything big really! We are humbled and grateful! None of this would happen without unwavering support of my husband, family, friends, and community! Thank you all!” ]

What a nice surprise! Congrats to Arlene and Darien!
