Deaf man turns himself in after allegedly killing deaf girlfriend
Local news in Las Vegas reported that a 23-year-old deaf man named Israel Zamora has turned himself into police two weeks after he was named as a murder suspect in the shooting death of 19-year-old deaf woman named Adamari Ramirez.
The shooting happened early in the morning on June 3. Police said they received reports of a shooting at an apartment and when they arrived, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her chest. Medical personnel responded but pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. Police said through their investigation, they determined that the victim was shot by her boyfriend, Zamora, who then fled the scene. Police said they were searching for him and that he was armed and dangerous.

According to a GoFundMe set up for the family of Adamari Ramirez, she was a mother to a 5-month-old baby girl. The GoFundMe said, “Adamari was a victim of domestic violence… she was planning to leave for California to get away but sadly was fatally shot by her boyfriend in front of her home walking with her mother.”
ABC 13 News reported that Zamora turned himself in at the Clark County Detention Center on Friday, June 16 and was taken into custody. He now faces charges for murder with a deadly weapon. Fox 5 News said he has a court appearance on June 20.
According to someone familiar with the suspect and the victim, both Zamora and Ramirez were former students at CSD Riverside.
