Deaf Finnish rap artist to compete in Finland’s Dancing With The Stars
Marko Vuoriheimo (44), a Deaf Finnish rap artist known as Signmark, will participate in Finland’s “Dancing with the Stars” television show. He is paired with the dance teacher and winner of last season, Anniina Koivuniemi.
Marko started Signmark in 2004 and has been touring ever since with his music. In 2009, he made a record deal with Warner Music as a solo artist in which he became the first Deaf person to sign a recording contract with an international company. This TV show will air on September 4th on MTV3 channel, a Finnish television station. It is only available to watch in Finland. However, Marko has been updating about his progress on his Instagram platform so you can follow Marko and keep track of how he is doing. Laura-Levita Valyte won Lithuania's Dancing with the Stars in 2010. Nyle DiMarco won USA’s Dancing with the Stars in 2016. Iwona Cichosz was a finalist for Poland's Dancing with the Stars in 2018. And then there was Rose Ayling-Ellis who won UK’s Strictly Come Dancing (similar to Dancing with the Stars) in 2021.
