Buddy Thomas, a Deaf bladesmith, recently delivered a custom knife to a celebrity client — the musician Post Malone.

Buddy said in a message to “The Daily Moth” that last year, Post Malone ordered a “high end knife” off his website but he had already sold it the day earlier. Buddy offered to make him a similar but better knife and he accepted and requested more knives.

Buddy said he “meticulously built” three knives over the course of a year. One of them was a “Damascus Go-Mai Patterned Bowie” with an ancient walrus tusk handle. Another knife had a black bear jaw handle.

Buddy said he met with Post Malone after he performed at a concert in Arkansas on October 13.

Buddy said Post Malone is “one of the kindest souls you will ever have the privilege of meeting.”

So, that’s the story. Very cool. I did a story on Buddy a few years ago when he was on a reality competition show called “Forged in Fire.”
