Sandra Mae Frank; Wawa Snipe; Sean Forbes to perform at Super Bowl LVI

The NFL and the NAD announced that we’ll be seeing three deaf ASL performers during Super Bowl LVI (56) on Sunday, February 13 in Los Angeles.

Deaf actress Sandra Mae Frank will perform the ASL rendition of the National Anthem and “America the Beautiful” during the pre-game ceremonies.

The vocals will be done by singers Mickey Guyton and Jhene Aiko.

Deaf rappers Warren “Wawa” Snipe and Sean Forbes will be performing the ASL rendition of the halftime show. This is the first time in history that the NFL is providing ASL access for the halftime show. The musicians are Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and Mary J. Blige.

The NFL said viewers can watch the pre-game and the halftime show with the ASL performances on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.

For Wawa, it will be his second straight appearance at the Super Bowl, as he performed the National Anthem last year.

The NAD usually works with the NFL to choose the ASL performers.
