Wawability 2025 to celebrate disabled artists and 35th anniversary of ADA

Alex (Daily Moth): Hello Wawa!

Warren “Wawa” Snipe: Hi Alex!

Alex: You’re hosting a new event called “Wawability” on July 11-12 in D.C. I saw the website and it looks really neat. Can you explain what this event is all about and what motivated you to want to host something like this?

Warren “Wawa” Snipe: I want to show you the signname for WAWABILITY. This is it. Now WAWABILITY is more than just a performance event is a powerful platform where aspiring artists with disabilities can showcase their talent alongside renown performers.

This unique opportunity ensure that emerging artist shared the same spotlight, demonstrating that talent, passion, and creativity have no limit . Year after year supporting rising stars.

What motivated me to do this? The need for a space where ability isn’t defined by limitations, but by passion and potential as a performer, I’ve witnessed firsthand how representation matters and WAWABILITY offers a stage where everyone…no matter their ability- has a voice, a presence and an impact a celebration of what we’ve accomplished in the last few decades. Ability highlights the talent and innovation within the disability community.

Alex: There are many events and speakers on your website — which event do you think will be the highlight?

Warren “Wawa” Snipe: Oh wow, that’s a tough one because every part of WAWABILITY is incredible. It’s really hard to pick because our influential speakers are here to inspire change, and we define what’s possible. Also proving that accessibility isn’t a privilege. It’s a right!

Then of course we have our 35th celebration of the ADA, a mind-blowing fusion of music, dance, comedy and visual story that will leave the audience in awe. It’s like a Grammy award style showcase, celebrating the immense talent and contribution of people with disabilities. We need to celebrate us.

Alex: You’re offering virtual experiences for those who can’t attend in-person. How does that work?

Warren “Wawa” Snipe: The Summit hosted by TDIforAccess (TDI) and produced by Foo Dog Production will be filmed live at the Anthem and available virtually, allowing attendees who can’t join in person to engage with the discussion and insights from our speakers.

Alex: Do you have anything else you’d like to share?

Warren “Wawa” Snipe: So, join the celebration at WAWABILITY by bringing together, both established stars and emerging artists. Reinforces the spirit of the ADA ensuring that everyone has a voice, everyone has a stage and everyone belongs. Sho Sum Luv!

Alex: Thank you so much!
