USADSF SPOTLIGHT: Cross-Country Skiing

[Transcript] I’m Christopher Smith. I’m from Vermont, and I’m a cross-country skier. I’m following my Uncle’s footsteps - I grew up watching him train for races. I gave it a try myself and found that it was a good fit. I’m the only deaf one - all my uncles and aunts are hearing, but I went ahead and did it - it went smoothly.

I feel good. I’ve gained more experience competing with deaf people. This is my first time at the Deaflympics. My goal is to ski in future Deaflympic games, maybe. I don’t know yet.
