Veteran disarmed Club Q shooter
Rich Fierro is identified as one of the two men who stopped the suspected shooter at Club Q in Colorado Springs on Saturday night. He is a former US Army Major who went on three combat tours and received two Bronze Star awards.
USA Today explained that Fierro was at Club Q, the only LGBTQ-friendly bar in Colorado Springs, with her daughter Kasey and her boyfriend and others to celebrate a birthday and enjoy a drag show.
Fierro told reporters that when he saw the shooter open fire, he dove and thought, “I gotta kill this guy, he’s going to kill my kid, he’s gonna kill my wife.”
Fierro said he grabbed the shooter by the back of his armor wear and pulled him down. The second man, Thomas James, helped to pin down the shooter. Fierro said both of them beat up the shooter. He then asked a drag show performer to kick the gunman and said they “stuffed a high-heeled shoe in the attacker’s face” and helped to subdue the shooter.
Responding police officers initially detained Fierro for over an hour as they figured out what happened and then released him.
Sadly, Fierro said the shooter killed his daughter Kasey’s boyfriend, Raymond Greene Vance (22). Kasey broke her knee that night. The shooter killed five people in total. I did name three of them yesterday, and the fourth person today (Raymond). The fifth victim is Ashley Paugh, who was a mother to an 11-year-old daughter.
Fierro said he regretted not being able to “finish” the shooter but vowed that he would attend court hearings for the suspect.
The suspect, Anderson Lee Aldrich, was still hospitalized as of Monday due to injuries he sustained from the beat-down. He faces five counts of first-degree murder and five counts of hate crimes. CNN explained that Aldrich was arrested in 2021 because he made a bomb threat against his mother. But his charges were dropped, his records sealed, and as a result, he was still able to purchase guns that he used in the shooting.
Todd Chrisley sentenced to 12 years in prison
Todd and Julie Chrisley, who are reality TV stars on the USA Network show “Chrisley Knows Best,” received long federal prison sentences for making fraudulent loans worth about $30 million.
Todd was sentenced to 12 years and Julie was sentenced to 7 years.
Prosecutors said the couple created false documents to get bank loans and then hid income from the IRS.

Jay Leno, the comedian and a former late-night TV host, was released from a hospital after receiving treatment for burns on his face, chest and hands from an explosion and a fire that came from a vintage car in his garage.
Leno was in a hospital in Los Angeles for 10 days. The hospital released an image of Leno smiling with his nurses. You could see healing wounds on his jawline and left hand.

Huge sinkhole next to WV police department
In Hinton, West Virginia, a huge sinkhole opened up right next to the city’s police department. An image shows a gaping hole in a parking lot and it seems as if a building will fall into the hole.
The sinkhole first opened up in June at only six feet wide and about 30 feet deep. It was caused by an old, failing drain beneath the road. Road crews placed fill material into the hole but rains from Hurricane Nicole earlier this month washed out the fill and made the sinkhole even bigger.
Now a temporary bridge will be installed over the sinkhole. The long-term plan is to install a new drainage structure under the road and which may cost about $5 million.
Woman condemned by locals after climbing Mayan Pyramid
A viral video shows that a woman illegally climbed up the stairs of a Mayan pyramid in Chichen Itza in Mexico and did a dance at the top. Crowds of people could easily see her and angrily reacted.
When security met her as she was coming down, the crowd threw water and trash at her, slapped her head, and shouted “cárcel,” which means jail. Others shouted “sacrifice!”
It is not known who the woman is, where she is from, or what kind of discipline she received. Many reacted that it is just something you don’t do on sacred sites.
That is all the top stories for today. “The Daily Moth” will be taking the rest of the week off due to the Thanksgiving holiday. I will see you again next Monday. Have a nice week and weekend and stay with the light.
