Hannah Kobayashi spotted crossing into Mexico
Police in Los Angeles said they have video evidence that shows the missing Hawaiian woman, Hannah Kobayashi, walking across the U.S.-Mexico border to be in Mexico.
Police said the case has changed to a “voluntary missing person case.” Police said there is no evidence of foul play. They said Kobayashi has a right to go “missing” but encouraged her to get in touch with them so she could confirm that she is safe.
Kobayashi’s family has been searching for her since she didn’t get on a connecting flight at Los Angeles that was supposed to take her to New York. They have not heard from her and there was a national search. Her father tragically took his own life in Los Angeles on Nov. 24 as he helped with search efforts.
So, police are saying that Kobayashi is not in danger and appears to be intentionally avoiding people who are trying to find her. It’s a mysterious case.

Woman sentenced for zipping boyfriend in suitcase until he died
A woman in Florida named Sarah Boone was sentenced to life in prison for zipping her boyfriend in a suitcase and leaving him inside for several hours until he died of suffocation.
The boyfriend’s name was Jorge Torres Jr.
CNN explained that Sarah testified that she was abused many times by the boyfriend. In February 2020, the couple was drinking alcohol and they played hide-and-seek and thought it would be funny for Jorge to go into a suitcase. After he got inside and zipped it closed, Sarah didn’t open it up, instead filming him as he pleaded to be let out and said he couldn’t breathe. Sarah told Jorge that it’s how she feels when he cheated on her. She then went upstairs to sleep and in the morning, she opened the suitcase and found Jorge unresponsive. She called 911 but it was too late. She said she didn’t intend to kill him.
Sarah was found guilty of second-degree murder and is now sentenced to life in prison.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said he’s grateful for Trump’s strong statement.
There are about 100 hostages that are still in Gaza and about a third of them are believed to be dead.
A Hamas spokesperson said they want an exchange of Palestinian prisoners for hostages and said it is Netanyahu who is blocking progress towards a hostage and a ceasefire deal.
