Trump’s campaign hacked and burglarized

Donald Trump’s presidential campaign suffered two attacks recently – a hacking and a burglary on one of its offices.

Trump said Iranian government agents hacked his presidential campaign infrastructure but only accessed information that was already available to the public. News outlets said one of the materials hacked was a document vetting Trump’s VP pick J.D. Vance, which is like a list of his pros and cons. The Kamala Harris campaign said it was also targeted by hackers but they failed to get through. The FBI said they are investigating the hack.

The campaign office burglary happened in Ashburn, Virginia. Police said an adult male suspect broke into the office on Sunday and released images in an attempt to get the public’s help to identify him. Police said they will investigate why it happened and find out what items were taken or what may have been left behind.

Australia helicopter crash

In Cairns, Australia, a 23-year-old man crashed a helicopter on the roof of a popular hotel and died. The helicopter was on fire and there was debris and spilled fuel. Nobody in the hotel was seriously injured and everyone inside, about 470 guests and two staff members, were evacuated. This happened before 2:00 a.m. local time. Police said the man worked for an aviation company as a ground crew member and while he had a helicopter pilot’s license in New Zealand, he was not authorized to fly the company’s helicopters. Australian news outlets identified the man as Blake Wilson. Before the crash, he was at a social event to celebrate a job promotion. He then flew a helicopter from the Cairns Airport. A witness said they saw a helicopter fly very low and fast over the ocean before it circled back and crashed on the roof of the hotel. Cairns is popular with tourists because it is located near the Great Barrier Reef and a large rainforest.
