The Daily Moth to cover 2019 Winter Deaflympics

I’m announcing that “The Daily Moth” will be sending a team includes myself and three other people to northern Italy next month to cover the 2019 Winter Deaflympics. We are working in a partnership with USADSF and we will provide daily recaps of U.S. athletes’ performances and top international performers.

The opening ceremony will be on December 12. The games will continue until December 21. The sports are curling, alpine skiing, cross country skiing, snowboard, ice hockey, and chess. This is the first time chess is a part of the Deaflympics.

The U.S. will send around 50 athletes that will play in teams for all six sports.

The games will take place in three different locations — Chiavenna, Madesimo, and Santa Caterina di Valfurva. Chiavenna is about 120 kilometers north of Milan and is close to the Switzerland border.

There is a nice website dedicated to the Winter Deaflympics at www.2019deaflympics.com.

The USADSF recently released a 108-page bulletin with many updates on USADSF — it is available to read online and the link is in the transcript.

The Daily Moth will be offering advertising spots that we’ll display in between our daily updates from Italy. If you and your organization are interested in buying ad spots, please email us at business@dailymoth.com.

We’ll be providing more updates leading up to the Winter Deaflympics.
