President Trump wants a Senate trial

President Trump did an interview on the phone with “Fox and Friends” this morning said that he wanted a trial if the House votes to impeach him. The trial would happen in the Senate.

Trump said he wants House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif) to testify, as well as the anonymous whistleblower whose complaint about Trump’s call with the Ukrainian president sparked the impeachment inquiry.

An analysis from USAToday said neither scenarios were likely to happen because Schiff would probably be the prosecutor in the Senate trial and the identity of the whistleblower is protected by federal law.

Trump also wanted Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s son, to testify.

President Trump said he would win the trial in the Senate because the Republican Party is very unified. He said the hatred from his political opponents is incredible.

He said that he fired former Ukraine ambassador Marie Yovanovitch, who testified during the inquiry, because she wouldn’t hang Trump’s picture in the embassy.

Axios reported that the next phase of the impeachment inquiry will be a House Intelligence Committee report that will be handed to the Judiciary Committee after Thanksgiving. The report will lay out their case for impeachment and recommendations on how to proceed.

Obama says chill out on Dem field

Former president Barack Obama appeared at a Democratic fundraiser in California on Thursday and told the audience to chill out about the crowded Democratic field and the different viewpoints amongst them.

Obama said, “Everyone needs to chill out about the candidates but gin up about the prospect of rallying behind whoever emerges from this process.”

Obama said that the field will narrow and if the last candidate standing is someone that you don’t agree with, that he doesn’t care because the stakes are so high.

Obama has not endorsed any of the candidates, even though one of them used to be his vice president.

Tesla unveils “Cybertruck” with broken windows

Last night Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk unveiled a new, futuristic concept for an electric truck called “Cybertruck” in Los Angeles. The unveiling was live-streamed and included flames on stage and a light show with people dressed in “cyberpunk” attire.

Musk went viral for all the wrong reasons, because there was a test for the “bulletproof” windows that failed. Tesla’s lead designer threw a metal ball at a window, which was not supposed to crack, but it did. A second test on a second window still resulted in a crack. Musk was forced to continue his presentation in front of two cracked glass windows.

The “Cybertruck” did pass a test on its doors when it was banged with a sledgehammer and did not dent.

Musk said the truck would begin production in late 2021 into 2022. Prices are $39,000 and up, depending on the number of engines and its drivetrain. The high-end model is boasted to be able to go from 0-60 in 2.9 seconds.

Would you buy one? If so, just don’t throw a metal ball at it.

Woman fights charges after step kids see her topless at home

A stepmother in Utah, Till Buchanan, was charged with misdemeanor lewdness involving a child because she took off her shirt along with her husband in their home when they installed drywall so their shirts wouldn’t become dusty.

The husband’s three children, ages 9 through 13, saw Till topless. She explained that she was a feminist and said it was fine to walk around with her skin showing.

The children’s mother reported the incident, which led to her being charged. Police said that she was under the influence of alcohol and said that if a man could take off his shirt, that a woman could do the same.

Now Till and her attorney is fighting the charge in court and said the Utah law on lewdness involving a child is unfair because it treats men and women differently for showing their chest.

Till said her husband was right next to her in the same manner that she was, but he is not charged.

Prosecutors say that nudity in American society is commonly understood to include women’s breasts.

If the judge rules against Till, she could face jail time, or fines, and may be required to register as a sex offender for 10 years.
