PBS NewsHour’s report on Maine shooting
The PBS NewsHour program recently did a report on the Maine shooting’s impact on the Deaf community and interviewed the wife of one of the Deaf victims, Megan Vozzella and two of the Deaf survivors, Kyle Curtis and Richard Morlock. I will show you some clips.

If you’d like to view the full report, the link is in the transcript. The report also covered serious issues with Deaf people’s access to emergency services. There were major gaps and interpreters were difficult to get, among other issues.
In related news, the New England Deaf Cornhole organization is hosting a “Maine Deaf Strong Fundraiser Cornhole Tournament” on Sunday, January 14 in Berlin, Connecticut. For more information, I’ve included a link.
