New England Patriots honors deaf victims of Maine shooting
The New England Patriots held a moment of silence before their home game on Sunday to honor the four deaf victims and 14 others who were killed in the Lewiston, Maine mass shooting. Their names were displayed on the videoboards.
NBC Boston said the announcer mentioned that four members of Maine’s deaf and hard of hearing community tragically lost their lives and asked all in attendance to express their love for Lewiston by using the “I love you” handshape that was displayed on the videoboard.

That’s a very touching moment to see many fans and Patriots cheerleaders and players display the ILY handshape to honor those in Lewiston who lost their lives.
