Boyfriend allegedly kills woman after she got abortion
Police in Dallas said a 22-year-old man named Harold Thompson shot and killed his girlfriend because he was angry that she got an abortion. The woman who died was Gabriella Gonzalez (26).
Police said Gonzalez traveled to Colorado to get an abortion because Texas has an abortion ban. The morning after she got back to Texas, the pair were walking together in a gas station parking lot. A video shows that Thompson put the woman in a chokehold before pulling out a firearm and shooting at her several times.
Police said they believe that Thompson was the father of the child and did not want her to get an abortion.
News reports said Thompson already had an arrest warrant for beating a woman who was pregnant with his child in March and this victim is presumed to be Gonzalez.
Gonzalez’s family said she had just ended her relationship when she was killed.
