Mavrick Fisher Murder Trial Coverage Plans

The Daily Moth (Alex): Hello. I want to announce that “The Daily Moth” plans to film and cover the Mavrick Fisher murder trial. He is a deaf man who is accused by the state of California with murdering a deaf man named Grant Whitaker. Whitaker died last year on August 2019 and Fisher was arrested and have been in custody in Lakeport since then, charged with first-degree murder.

“The Daily Moth” has covered developments and updates and now the trial is set to begin today with jury selection. That process will take place today, tomorrow, and Friday. The actual trial process will begin on Monday or Tuesday with opening statements and the calling of witnesses.

Our plan is to send a reporter named Callie Frye, who has done work with “The Daily Moth” in the past. She will be in Northern California and will be there in the courtroom to provide updates and she will also help with setting up filming.

We plan to provide live streaming. We will be working in partnership with DPAN.TV. They have a lot of experience with live streaming. So our goal is to broadcast it live on Moth Facebook, Moth YouTube, and on DPAN.TV. This means you can watch it on Facebook, YouTube, or if you don’t have social media, you can go to DPAN.TV. We’ll be broadcasting it LIVE and provide recaps during the evenings to provide the highlights if you can’t catch the livestreams. That’s our plan.

This will cost several thousand dollars because of travel and the length of the trial. It is estimated to last a month. The court days will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. There are no court dates on Wednesdays. It is the court’s vision to wrap up the trial on November 20 or earlier with a verdict from the jury. It could be a guilty verdict, a not guilty verdict, or whatever may happen. The court is predicting it’ll be finished by November 20. So, it will take several thousand dollars to arrange everything.
