Lotz of BBQ recovers stolen trailer

Roy Lotz, the owner of Lotz of BBQ, posted a video saying he’s found his trailer that was stolen from a food trailer parking lot in Austin on December 26.

Lotz said the stolen trailer was found in a trailer park in an undisclosed location.

The trailer had its wrap stripped, clearly in an attempt by the thieves to evade detection.

Lotz said the trailer’s brake line was cut by the thieves before they stole it. Lotz also said there was also damage inside the trailer but he’s excited that the trailer was found so he can be back in business sooner than expected.

Lotz said he is so grateful to the Deaf and Austin community for their support. He said there would be more information on a local news outlet (Fox 7 Austin) this afternoon.

A GoFundMe set up to support Lotz raised over $32,000 from 515 donors, so hopefully that will help him on his path to recovering as a business owner.

So far, there has been no information on who the suspected thieves are. Stay tuned for more updates.
