Gallaudet’s Eric Gregory to run at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials

Gallaudet University Athletics announced that its track star Eric Gregory was selected to run at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials that will take place this Friday, June 21 in Oregon.

Gregory is the three-time defending NCAA Division III National Champion in the 400-meter dash. He will be wearing a Gallaudet uniform during the Olympic Team Trials. It is the first time in Gallaudet history that one of their student-athletes is competing in the U.S. Olympic Team Trials.

Gallaudet Athletics explained that Gregory is one of 35 runners in the 400-meter dash that either qualified or was accepted by USA Track and Field. Gregory’s best time this season was 45.73. He will be racing against other elite athletes who have posted similar times.

His race during the preliminaries will be available to view on USA and Peacock. His race is at 6:48 p.m. EST / 3:48 p.m. PST. If he advances, the semifinals will be on June 23. The finals are on June 24.
