Here are two Deaf News briefs.
Canada men’s hockey team wins Jeff Sauer International Deaf Hockey Series
The first is the result of the Jeff Sauer International Deaf Hockey Series, an international tournament that took place in New York over the weekend.
In the men’s competition, Canada and USA were the top two teams in a four-way competition that included Finland and the Czech Republic. On Sunday, in the Gold Medal Game, Canada defeated USA 5-4 to win the championship.
In the women’s competition, which featured only Team USA and Team Canada, the Americans won all three matches.

Chuck E. Cheese partners with American Society for Deaf Children (ASDC)
The second news is a press release from Chuck E. Cheese that announced it is embarking on a partnership with the American Society for Deaf Children (ASDC) beginning today, on this National ASL Day.
The organizations said they hope to “foster greater inclusivity for all children, including those who are deaf or hard of hearing, and their families.” The organizations plan to hold fundraising events with 20% of the proceeds going towards ASDC, implementing basic ASL/deaf cultural training programs across all Chuck E. Cheese locations, and creating ASL music videos.
